Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi:TV anime to start in July, anime footage unveiled

It has been announced that the TV anime "Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi," based on the popular manga by Hirakawa Aya, currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan), will begin airing in July. The latest PV has also been released, showcasing the anime's footage.

The main staff was also announced, with series composer Takayo Igami commenting, "This is a story filled with kindness. The self you want to show (that you show) to the outside world, and your true (different) self - both are wonderful and important parts of you - it's a story that encourages you. The three sisters, torn between being a genius and a pure girl, are truly cute and charming. You're sure to fall in love with the series if you watch it! The food that Yu, a self-proclaimed "ordinary person," makes for the sisters is also a highlight. Please look forward to it!"

Lead animator Miyazaki Tsukasa said, "At first, the three Teigen sisters are intimidating as geniuses, but as they spend time with Yu, their increasingly charming sides become apparent. As the lead animator, I was conscious of drawing in a way that would bring out the contrast between the three sisters' coolness as the Three Emperors and their troubled and cute sides! Thanks to the efforts of the staff, the finished video is gorgeous and worth seeing, so be sure to check it out!"

The series has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" since December 2021. It is a home-love comedy about the cohabitation of the three Mikano sisters, who are geniuses in literature, martial arts, and the arts, and Ayayo Yu, an ordinary person who is below average in all areas. The anime is directed by Matsubayashi Yuito and produced by PAWORKS. Hinata Minami will be the voice actor for the main character, Ayayo Yu.
