AnimeJapan 2025, one of the world's largest anime events, opened on March 22nd at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo). Following on from the previous event, which recorded over 130,000 visitors, the event will be held on the largest scale ever at Tokyo Big Sight's East Exhibition Halls 1-8 and Conference Tower. A record 117 companies will exhibit, including Aniplex, KADOKAWA, and TOHO animation. The fact that idol group Sakurazaka46 will serve as ambassadors has also been a hot topic.
AnimeJapan is an event that has been held since 2014, and this year will be its 12th time. This year, the AJ Stage, which will host stage events for popular works, will be expanded to four stages: RED STAGE, GREEN STAGE, BLUE STAGE, and the WHITE STAGE, with a total of 52 events being held.
In addition to stage events featuring "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba : Kimetsu no Yaiba," " The Jujutsu Kaisen ," "Jujutsu The Apothecary Diaries, " " Oshi no Ko," and "One Piece," there will also be a collaborative stage between "Detective Conan" and "Yaiba: The Legend of the Samurai," as well as a stage for the "Gundam" series, with voice actors and staff from each work taking to the stage.
The public days will be March 22nd and 23rd, the business days will be March 24th and 25th, and the "Family Anime Festa 2025" for families and kids will also be held on March 22nd and 23rd.
