To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Godzilla movie, Bandai has announced that they will be releasing a toy called "Digital Monster COLOR Godzilla 70th Edition" in collaboration with the popular Digimon, which is based on anime and video games. There are two types, "WarGreymon: "G" Erosion Mode Classic Color" and "WarGreymon: "G" Erosion Mode Color," each priced at 7,700 yen.
Digimon character designer Kenji Watanabe has designed collaboration monsters, and a total of 34 monsters and Digimon, including Godzilla, who have invaded the world of Digital Monsters, will appear. Collaboration monsters MetalGreymon: "G" Erosion Mode, SkullGreymon: "G" Erosion Mode, Mugendramon: Type 3 <modified> Mode, and WarGreymon: "G" Erosion Mode will also appear and can be trained. "Godzilla's Theme" can be played, and anti-G weapons and MOGERA will also appear in training. The characters that evolve are also determined by the G Cell Activity Value, which indicates the erosion rate of G Cells, which changes through battle and training.
Pre-orders are being accepted on Bandai Namco Group's shopping site, Premium Bandai. Shipment is scheduled for August.
