Singer Kiyoshi Maekawa will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 pm on January 6th. She turned 77 last year.
He still seems to be singing while standing still, but now that he's 77 years old, his singing has changed. What if Kuroyanagi asked him to "try singing"?! He also revealed how he dotes on his tropical fish "molly" at home.
At his concerts, he sometimes sings songs by his ex-wife, the late Fuji Keiko. When he was married to Fuji, he lived near Kuroyanagi's house. He talks fondly about his memories of Fuji. He talks about when he saw Fuji's daughter, singer-songwriter Utada Hikaru, on TV a few years ago saying, "The person I want to meet is Maekawa Kiyoshi," and about why his five grandchildren don't seem to be fond of him.
