It has been revealed that the first chapter of the new movie version of the anime " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Yaiba" based on the popular manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle Arc ," will be released on July 18th. It has been announced that the movie version will be produced as a trilogy, and the domestic release date for the first chapter has been revealed. The first chapter will be released in 443 theaters, the largest number yet for the film. The IMAX version will also be released on the same day. The key visual for the first chapter has also been released. The visual depicts the Demon Slaying Corps, including Tanjiro Kamado , and the demons with the Mugen Castle in the background, foreshadowing the start of the Mugen Castle battle. It was announced during a special program " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle Arc Reunion," which was streamed on YouTube on March 1st.
It was also announced that a "group visual ver." of the Mubichike card-type advance ticket using the key visual will go on sale from March 7. From April 4, seven types of Mubichike with designs based on different character combinations will go on sale, making a total of eight types of Mubichike including the "group visual ver.", as well as a "special set" with a special mount.
It was also announced that special editions of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series, designed for viewing on the big screen, will be released in stages starting from April 4. The story of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is about Tanjiro Kamado, whose family was killed by demons, joining the Demon Slaying Corps to turn his sister Nezuko, who has turned into a demon, back into a human. The original was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. The total number of copies of the comics published is over 150 million.
The TV anime "Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc" was broadcast from April to September 2019, and the movie version "Mugen Train" released in October 2020 was a huge hit, grossing approximately 40 billion yen, the highest ever box office revenue in Japan. The "Entertainment District Arc" was broadcast from December 2021 to February 2022, the "Swordsmith Village Arc" from April to June 2023, and the "Hashira Training Arc" from May to June 2024.
"The Infinity Castle Arc" is a new anime following "The Hashira Training Arc" and will be produced as part of a theatrical trilogy.
