The 104th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Omusubi " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00am and others), starring Kanna Hashimoto Mukai, a guide at the Osaka Expo commemorative performance, attracting the attention of viewers.
In episode 104, Eikichi (Matsudaira Ken) and Masato (Kitamura Yukiya) visit Expo Commemoration Park to see the Tower of the Sun. There, the two encounter Mukai, a performance guide, who is looking for a wallet that a boy lost. Mukai seems to recognize Eikichi's face as he helps him look for the wallet, and asks, "That Fukuoka dialect, is it... Eikichi Yoneda?" Mukai says that she worked as a waitress at a restaurant in American Park during the Expo, and is happy to meet Eikichi again after a long time.
When Mukai said, "I was really taken care of by Nagayoshi-san," Masato asked, "You mean you were just visiting as an old man, right?" Mukai replied, "Not at all!" and reminisced about the Expo while showing photos from that time.
The photo also shows the large truck that Nagayoshi was driving, and Mukai expressed his gratitude, saying, "Nagayoshi-san, you delivered ingredients to our restaurant in this truck. From Fukuoka to Osaka, throughout the entire duration of the event." He also said, "I really don't know what would have happened if Nagayoshi-san hadn't been there back then."
On social media, comments such as "I was surprised that Aso Yumi appeared in such a small role," "The way Aso Yumi was used was extravagant," "Surely this can't be the end?" and "It was nice how she unintentionally played a role that made it clear that this wasn't a lie and then left so lightly" were posted.
Aso also played Chiyo, the mother of the heroine Itoko (played by Machiko Ono ), in the Asadora "Carnation" from the second half of 2011, which is currently being rebroadcast. As she appeared in the drama up until the 127th episode, which aired on February 22nd, viewers commented, "Chiyo has been reincarnated!", "Just when I thought Carnation's mother had left the show, she's now in the world of Omusubi!", and "The Omusubi from Carnation, what a nasty performance."
