Kanzaki was waiting in front of Saejima's house. When Saejima said, "You knew this place well," Kanzaki revealed that Yuzuru (Mayu Hotta) had given her Saejima's address.
After being let into Saejima's room, Kanzaki asked, "Why did you become a teacher?" Saejima emphasized, "I told you, I was a former teacher," and added, "Because it's a job where you can keep witnessing the moment when someone changes."
Meanwhile, Kanzaki asks Saejima, "Please tell me the truth." However, Saejima says, "If I tell you that, I won't even be a former teacher anymore."
On social media, people were saying things like, "What does Saejima-sensei mean when he says 'I'll no longer be a former teacher'? Eh... does it mean he was never a teacher to begin with? Like he doesn't have a teaching license but for some reason got a position at Rintoku Gakuin through the back door..." "What does Takako Tokiwa sensei mean?" and "I don't understand what Saejima-sensei means when he says 'I'll no longer be able to call myself a former teacher'. It's so dark."
Other comments included, "Is Saejima-sensei involved in the dark side of Rintoku?", "If Saejima-sensei told the truth, he wouldn't even be a former teacher anymore. I think that's because it involves students," and "What is the truth that would make Saejima-sensei no longer a former teacher...? If we take it at face value, does that mean Saejima-sensei is also involved in the wrongdoing?"
