◇The following contains spoilers
The drama is an original "great reversal story of education revival" in which Takashi Mikami (played by Matsuzaka), a bureaucrat in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, who wants to change the Japanese education system, takes to the podium at a private high school and stands up to authority while guiding 18-year-old high school students living in the Reiwa era.
In episode 6, an article appears in a weekly magazine and the students learn about Mikami's older brother, Kota (played by Niihara Taisuke). Mikami (played by Matsuzaka) refuses to answer the students' questions, saying, "It was a long time ago," but with the encouragement of a certain person who knows Mikami's past, he quietly opens up... and so the story unfolds.
Mikami's older brother, Kota, was a high school student at the time, and had been electrocuted by a device he had made himself while protesting against the school's policy of not allowing students with developmental disabilities to continue on to high school.
Later, it was discovered that his mother had become mentally unstable and was now in a nursing home. She was unaware of her brother's death and called him "Kota."
On social media, comments such as, "That's shocking...", "Wow, that's brutal", " Mikami Sensei must have had a difficult life", and "Mikami Sensei must have been living with guilt for his entire life" were posted one after another.
