"The 19th medical record" - "Takino" played by Fuka Koshiba makes people want to root for her

The first episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " The 19th medical record " (Sunday 9pm) starring Jun Matsumoto was broadcast on July 13th. The orthopedic surgeon Mizuki Takino, played by Fuka Koshiba Koshiba, attracted attention from viewers, with comments such as "I want to root for her."

The drama is based on the manga "The 19th medical record Tokushige's Questioning" by Katsuhito Fujiya, and depicts a general practitioner who lends a helping hand to patients' lifestyles. This is Matsumoto's first time playing a doctor. The script is written by Aya Tsubota, who has worked on the "Kounodori" series (same channel).

Takino, played by Koshiba, is a novice doctor who became a specialist in orthopedic surgery after completing two years of internship at Uotora General Hospital. He has a strong sense of justice and a straightforward personality, and is also a brisk, athletic character.

Akira Tokushige (Matsumoto) examines Junichi Yokobuki (Rokupei Naomasa), who is hospitalized with a broken leg, and discovers that he has a myocardial infarction. Takino, Yokobuki's doctor, feels responsible for having overlooked the condition.

One day, despite being on the night shift, Takino headed to the General Medical Department where Tokushige works in the morning to observe Tokushige's medical examination.

Takino asked Tokushige, "How did you notice that it was a myocardial infarction? I want to know how you interviewed the patient. How can you identify the disease like a detective or an esper?" Tokushige prefaced his question by saying, "I don't mind you telling me, but I think you'll be disappointed," and said that he had observed Yokobuki's condition when he happened to be passing by.

Tokushige recalled that Yokobuki had a cough that was different from a cold, that he was rubbing parts of his body that were not related to his fracture, and that he smelled cigarette smoke from Yokobuki. He revealed to Takino that when he found out that Yokobuki was running an izakaya, he thought about the risk of myocardial infarction from drinking habits and smoking.

Takino continued to ask Tokushige questions such as, "How did you know it was an izakaya right away?", "Why did you ask me about my family structure? Why did you pay attention to that?", etc. Then, he was shown talking about his goal, saying, "I want to be able to see more patients. I want to do it on my own."
