On February 21, Fuji Television announced that it would cancel the broadcast of its major special program, "FNS 27-Hour Television 2025."
"We have decided to postpone the broadcast of 'FNS 27-Hour Television 2025,' which was scheduled to be broadcast this year," the program's official website said in a statement. "We deeply apologize to all viewers who were looking forward to the broadcast," the statement continued.
"FNS 27-Hour TV" is a large-scale live special program that was broadcast once a year from 1987 to 2019 and has left behind many "legends." The program was suspended from 2020 to 2022 due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, but was revived in 2023 for the first time in four years. Last year, "Chocolate Planet," "Shimofuri Myojo," and "Hanako" served as general MCs, and the program was broadcast under the theme "Japan's Most Fun School Festival!".
