The seventh episode of the TV drama " Japan's Number One Jerk Salaryman " (Fuji TV, Thursdays at 10pm), starring Shingo Katori , aired on February 20th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, below) was 3.7% for households and 2.2% for individuals.
The story is about a TV newsman who is involved in a scandal and finds himself at the brink of collapse, but then decides to run for office in order to change Japan, as he wants to create a better society through raising his children. This is the first time in 11 years that Katori has starred in a Fuji TV drama series.
In episode 7, Ippei (Katori) learns that Shosuke ( Jun Shison) has never met his father-in-law even after he married Hina (Mukai Yuka). When he asks why, Shosuke somehow evades the question. Miyako (Tominaga Ai), who was watching this exchange, remembers that Ippei's father came to watch the singing contest at the "Fureai Winter Festival" that Ippei participated in when he was a high school student.
