It has been announced that actor Shotaro Mamiya will star in the April TBS Friday drama "Ignite - Law's Outlaw" (Fridays at 10pm). The "dark legal entertainment" drama depicts an "outlaw" lawyer who makes a lot of money by inciting lawsuits, and it will be Mamiya's first time starring in a drama on the same network.
The title of the film "Ignite" means to "ignite". The protagonist, Ryo Uzaki, played by Mamiya, aims to enter the legal world after his father dies in an accident. Uzaki, who is a reckless but righteous novice lawyer, jumps into the dubious law firm "Peace Law Firm," known in the area as "lawless." He literally "ignites" the hearts of potential plaintiffs, leading them to file lawsuits. They are a "group of legal outlaws" who use all means to win lawsuits...
The work is produced by "BABEL LABEL", a content studio that includes director Michihito Fujii, who has worked on the film "Seitai", as well as director Hirotoshi Hara, who has worked on "Return of the Abunai Deka", and director Kento Yamaguchi, who has worked on "Ikusagami". This is the first time they have teamed up with TBS, and it is also their first time participating in a prime-time terrestrial drama.
Mamiya commented, "Throughout the filming, I have felt the passion of the production team towards the drama, so I want to motivate myself and make it a cool and exciting drama," and added, "I hope the viewers will also enjoy it and get their hearts fired up."
