It has been revealed that voice actors Koji Yusa, Hiroshi Kamiya, Yuki Kaji, and Masakazu Morita will appear in the second season of the TV anime "Go! Go! Loser Ranger!," which is based on a manga by Negi Haruba, who is also known for the popular manga "The Quintessential Quintuplets." Yusa will play the mysterious monster executive Fuwaripon, Kamiya will play Usukubo Yakushi, the representative director of the Monster Protection Association, Kaji will play Wakaba Kyosuke, a former member of the Green Unit who has gone missing, and Morita will play Nishiki Masashi, a detective investigating the "spirited abduction incident" in search of his missing younger brother. The star-studded voice actors will be playing new characters with significant backgrounds.
Yusa commented, "This time I've been given the role of Fuwaripon. I have read the original work, and on top of the unique content, the character is unusual in appearance and there seems to be a lot of freedom in the story, so I'm really looking forward to it. I'll do my best to make it an anime that you can enjoy as well! I hope you enjoy it."
Kamiya said, "As someone who continues to look forward to Sunday morning dramas, I feel like I can understand Usukubo Yakushi's feelings towards pure evil. Justice and evil go hand in hand. A righteous evil is necessary for rotten justice. I hope to do my best to express Yakushi's purity!"
Kaji said, "I was very intrigued by the work's sensational title and setting. When I actually read the story, I was excited and thought, 'I see! So that's the kind of world the Sentai are depicted in!' The work is full of quirky characters, and Wakaba Kyosuke, who I played, is undoubtedly one of them. "Go! Go! Loser Ranger!" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) in February 2021. It is a unique anti-hero manga in which Footsoldier D, a low-ranking fighter of the evil monster army, fights against the Ryujin Sentai Dragon Keeper, who are thought to be allies of justice.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2024. The second season will be broadcast on the CBC TV/TBS anime slot "Agaru Anime" from April 13th every Sunday at 11:30 pm.
