The main cast of the TV anime "Chitose-kun is in a Ramune Bottle," based on the popular light novel from Shogakukan Gagaga Bunko (Shogakukan), has been announced, with Sakata Shogo as Hina Yomiya Saku, Manaka Iwami as Hiiragi Yuuko, Ikumi Hasegawa as Uchida Yuku, Hasegawa Chika Anzai as Aomi You, and Anzai Chika as Nishino Asuka. The anime will be directed by Tokuno Yuji and produced by feel. A teaser visual was also released, depicting one of the heroines, Hiiragi Yuuko, holding up a Ramune bottle.
Sakata commented, "Chitose-kun is in a Ramune Bottle" depicts the freshness of youth, and when I read it, it deeply moved me. I am very honored and excited to be able to play the role of Chitose Saku, a character who is torn between his ideals and reality, but still keeps moving forward. As a fan, I am also excited for everyone to be able to see Yumu-sensei's delicate and beautiful writing come to life in the anime. Lastly, I would like to share my favorite words from the original Chiramune work. Wear philosophy on your body and sing the praises of aesthetics. Reach for the moon."
Iwami said, "During the audition, I was attracted to the charm of each character and the subtle shadows that they gradually reveal, and I thought it would be fun to be involved in this production. Among the wonderful cast, I have enjoyed playing Yuuko-chan, who is honest, bright and energetic, but who suddenly shows a more mature side that surprises you every time! The production has a lot of dialogue, but the dialogue is stylish and full of charm, so I hope you will look forward to it!"
Hitsujimiya commented, "The script used for the audition contained many excerpts of conversation, so I went to the audition imagining what kind of atmosphere it would be like, and hoping to be able to come to life as Yuuka. When I passed the audition it still felt like a dream, but once the dubbing started and I was able to experience the atmosphere, I finally realized how happy I am to be here. Hasegawa said, "As I write this, the dubbing is still in the early stages, but...it's a parade of thoughts I've never used before and words I've never said before! There's no way a high school girl like this exists!?! But even as I think that, I am captivated by Yuzuki's charm. I even feel like Yuzuki, who is in many ways better than me, is bringing out my own potential, and it's a lot of fun and refreshing to interact with my co-stars! Okubo commented, "I had read Chiramune before, and during the audition I felt an incredible amount of concentration... like I had been sharpened, and I felt like I had a mutual understanding with Haru. So I was really happy when I heard I had been chosen! Haru is small and cute, but at heart she is a straightforward, sporty girl, so I tried to portray her with that in mind. She's blue and pretty, and fizzy, but the fizziness isn't eternal... I hope you enjoy this page of Chitose and friends' youth, just like a ramune!"
Yasumi said, "I'm sorry to talk about something so personal, but I'm from Fukui Prefecture...It's a strange feeling that the places that appear in the work are so Fukui-like (laughs). I'm dubbing the character while remembering the atmosphere of Fukui. Asukaze is really like the wind, sometimes she's pleasant, sometimes she's warm and mysterious, but she's a very charming girl. I'm honoured to be involved in this work as her. I hope that people from Fukui and not will look forward to the day when they can see their youth depicted in animation!"
The series is a light novel written by Yume and illustrated by raemz. The story is about Chitose Saku, a popular man who reigns at the top of the high school hierarchy, being asked to rehabilitate a certain recluse. It will be broadcast in 2025.
