The work is a light novel written by Ryuto and illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima. The story is about a protagonist who is an ordinary office worker except for being a skilled FPS gamer, but suddenly wakes up in a world that closely resembles the space game he was addicted to. He rescues a beautiful penniless girl and becomes an invincible mercenary.
The comic book version has also proven popular, with the series having sold a total of over 1.3 million copies.
