It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime "I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability," based on a popular work that was born from the novel posting site "Shosetsuka ni Naro," will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other networks from July. It has also been announced that additional cast members for the second season will include Manaka Iwami as Isha and Tsuda Minami as Saria.
The main setting for the second season is a church in the Kingdom of Saloum, and a teaser visual has been released showing Lloyd in nun's robes, his sister Saria, and Sister Isha in a church with glittering stained glass.
Iwami, who plays the kind-hearted sister Esha who serves at the church in the Dane district of the Kingdom of Saloum, commented, "This production involves a lot of comical improvisation, but I'm always inspired by the entertaining acting of my co-stars! The character Isha, who I will be playing, is a sister who is very good at singing and is kind, playful and natural! We've been trying to get the perfect image from the dubbing stage, and I can't wait to see the footage with my voice and sound! I hope you'll all look forward to watching the broadcast with me! Tsuda, who plays Saria, the fourth princess of the Kingdom of Saloum and Lloyd's older sister, said, "Saria is like a musical prodigy who has mastered every instrument. She's quiet, but when it's time to show off her good side to Lloyd, she'll say 'Funsu!' like Lloyd's older sister. And the face she makes when she says 'Funsu!' is so cute! The Seventh Prince is really cute when he makes a comical face! His chubby cheeks...I just want to poke him (laughs). In the second season, please look forward to Lloyd and his friends, who combine cuteness and coolness, as well as the new characters!"
It was also announced that a stage event for the series will be held on March 22nd at AnimeJapan 2025, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo), and that in addition to Makoto Koichi, who plays Lloyd, Iwami, who plays Isha, and Tsuda, who plays Saria, will be on stage.
The work is a light novel by Kenmotsu Circle, and the comic adaptation by Ishizawa Yosuke, which is currently being serialized in "Magazine Pocket" (Kodansha), is also gaining popularity, with the total number of copies of the series published exceeding 7 million. The story depicts a magician who was not blessed with magical talent and died an untimely death, but is reincarnated as Lloyd, the seventh prince of the Saloom Kingdom, who has a strong magical bloodline, and who meets friends and masters magic. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2024.
