A screening of the movie "Doctor X FINAL" (directed by Tamura Naoki) where the audience was allowed to shout out loud and even cry was held at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) and TOHO Cinemas Namba (Chuo-ku, Osaka) on January 24th. Before the screening at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya, Katsumura Masanobu, who plays Kaji Hideki, and director Tamura made a surprise appearance before the audience without prior notice.
Among the audience, some dressed to the nines in white lab coats to resemble the main character Daimon Michiko (Yonekura Ryoko), some with glow sticks and cheering fans, and some ardent fans who had already seen the film more than 10 times, Katsumura and director Tamura suddenly appeared. Katsumura took out a stuffed Daimon Michiko doll from his pocket and said, "Michiko is here today too! (Yonekura) told me, 'Please give my best regards to everyone,'" and the audience erupted in cheers.
Katsumura touched on a secret story about Yonekura, saying, "There's no hidden side to Yonekura! She's just the way she is. Like a flustered Santa Claus." The audience laughed and applauded. Director Tamura said, "She never shows it on the surface, but she works hard behind the scenes, just like Daimon Michiko." Katsumura also emphasized Yonekura's acting spirit by saying, "I've never seen her checking the script in the studio."
It was also revealed on the day that Yonekura-san had filmed the operating scenes without any dubbing, and Katsumura-san had also done zero dubbing.
