Actor Koji Ishizaka will appear on BS12 TwellV's program "Tsurube-chan and Sawako-chan: Showa's Great Senpai and the Strange Two," which will be broadcast from 9:00 pm on January 27th. Ishizaka, who lived through the early days of television, will share precious stories, including an episode of his date with "the eternal diva" Hibari Misora.
The program is a talk variety show hosted by Rakugo performer Shofutei Tsurube and essayist Agawa Sawako, and began in October last year. Tsurube, who has 52 years of showbiz experience, and Agawa, who has 40 years of showbiz experience, are called "Tsurube-chan" and "Sawako-chan," and are "great seniors of the Showa era." They appear as guests in each episode.
On this day, Ishizaka, who became interested in theater due to his grandmother's influence, will share behind-the-scenes stories from his school days when he was crazy about theater, when he was playing a passerby as an extra, and when he co-starred with Mariko Kaga in a live-broadcast drama that would be impossible today.
