It has been revealed that Sakamoto Taro, Asakura Shin, and Nagumo, who appear in the TV anime "SAKAMOTO DAYS," based on the popular manga by Suzuki Yuto currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), will grace the cover of the special edition of issue 2432 of the women's magazine "anan" (Magazine House), which goes on sale on January 29th. Sakamoto is a former assassin who is usually plump, but when the fighting intensifies, he burns so many calories that he transforms back into his old slim figure. The issue features a special feature on body make-up, and Sakamoto, who is in some sense a "body make-up expert," will appear on the cover.
The cover is a newly drawn one, depicting a miraculous three-shot of Sakamoto, his current partner Asakura Shin, and his former partner Nagumo. The magazine also features a newly drawn illustration of Sakamoto and Shin in their usual plump form.
The magazine also features a conversation between Tomokazu Sugita, and Nobunaga Shimazaki, who plays Shin, as well as an interview with Ayane Sakura, who plays Lu Shao Tang. In the creator interview, director Masaki Watanabe talks about his favorite scenes and his commitment to production.
"SAKAMOTO DAYS" is an action manga that has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" since November 2020. The story is about Sakamoto, a former legendary assassin who runs a shop after retiring, who fights against approaching assassins with his friends to protect his peaceful daily life with his beloved family. The first season of the TV anime has been airing on TV Tokyo and other networks every Saturday at 11pm since January. The second season will be aired on the same network and other networks every Monday at midnight from July.
