Mitsubishi Estate Simon has announced that it will launch an "overseas delivery service" on January 15th at Gotemba Premium Outlets (Gotemba City, Shizuoka Prefecture), which it operates, to increase convenience for foreign tourists visiting Japan. The service will deliver purchased products to their homes overseas.
The service is provided by TUMOCA Express, which can deliver products purchased at the facility to approximately 126 countries, and will be the first to be introduced in Shizuoka Prefecture. At the start of the service, it will be available at nine stores selling fashion, sports and outdoor goods, and home appliances, with plans to gradually expand the number of participating stores. The service says that customers can now safely purchase products that are difficult to carry home while traveling, such as home appliances, outdoor goods, and golf equipment.
The service fee varies depending on the country of delivery and weight. Payment can only be made by credit card, and some products, such as prohibited items, are excluded. The service is managed by OSS.
