The drama series "Madoka26sai,kenshui Yattemasu!" (TBS, Tuesdays at 10pm) starring actress Kyoko Yoshine will begin on January 14th. It is a coming-of-age story depicting the intense two years in which Madoka Wakatsuki, a modern medical intern played by Yoshine, faces life.
The original is Mizutani Midori's manga "Madoka26sai,kenshui Yattemasu!", "My internship is hectic" and "I've been a medical intern on a remote island" (KADOKAWA). Even doctors want to be happy! The protagonist, who wishes to be happy, is confused by the sarcastic comment "medical interns are customers" in the changing medical field due to the Reiwa work style reform, but faces the challenges of veteran doctors, encourages her peers, and faces life as a doctor and a woman for two intense years.
Suzuki Nobuyuki will play Kanno Takeru, the surgical instructor at Madoka's first training facility, Takahashi Hikaru will play Ozaki Chifuyu, a colleague of Madoka, Onishi Ryusei from the popular group "Naniwa Danshi" will play Igarashi Sho, another colleague, Watanabe Keisuke will play Sunada Naoto, and Okuda Eiji will play Kakuta Shigeji, a mysterious man who appears before Madoka.
Episode 1: Madoka Wakatsuki, a first-year medical intern, encounters a code blue (an emergency situation where a patient's condition suddenly changes) just as she begins work at Seiou General Hospital. There, she is approached by a mysterious man, Shigeji Kakuta, and is impressed by the rapid response of senior doctors from close range.
Once he began his life as a medical intern, he became increasingly uneasy with the "customer treatment" at the hospital, with working hours from 9am to 5pm and no harassment.
Veteran doctors such as surgeon Nishiyama Masaki (Akahori Masaaki), emergency center director Kinosaki Tomoya (Sato Ryuta), and internist Tezuka Saeko (Kimura Tae) also provide guidance while suppressing their irritation at the current doctor shortage and the inexperience of the trainees.
Together with his fellow interns Ozaki Chifuyu, Igarashi Sho, Momoki Kento (Yoshimura Kaito), and Yokokawa Moe (Konishi Sakurako), he begins his training in various departments under a system known as "super rotation."
Madoka is initially assigned to the surgery department, where her supervising doctor is Takeru Kanno. Contrary to her hopes, reality is full of obstacles, such as not being able to insert an IV needle properly, needing to go to the bathroom during surgery, and being mistaken for a nurse.
One day, Madoka visits Akane Yukawa (Mayumi Tanaka), a hospitalized patient under her care. When Akane complains of back pain, Madoka suggests that she consult with Kanno, but Kanno tells her, "You've just slept wrong, so you'll be fine." However, this leads to a serious situation...
