Actor Yoshihiko Hakamada will be making a guest appearance in the first episode of the drama series "Private Banker" (TV Asahi, Thursdays 9pm) which starts on January 9th. He will play Toudou Seiya, a banker who commits investment fraud. A new image of him with a different atmosphere from his recent short hair style was also released.
The drama, starring Toshiaki Karasawa, is an original story that focuses on the "private banker," a professional in money who advises the wealthy on asset management and asset formation. This is a "delightful money suspense" drama in which the skilled private banker Koichi Anno (played by Karasawa) uses his overwhelming financial knowledge and wide-ranging connections to brilliantly solve a number of money-related problems.
In the first episode, Anno is asked by Tenguuji Takehiro (Hashizume Isao), a billionaire with assets of 700 billion yen, to help save his beloved dango shop from a difficult situation. The shop's president, Iida Kumiko (Suzuki Honami), is in danger of losing her shop, and falls victim to an investment scam that leaves her saddled with 500 million yen of debt.
Toudou took advantage of Kumiko, who had no knowledge of finance, and committed an investment fraud. He pretended to be sympathetic to Kumiko, who was facing a crisis that threatened the survival of her restaurant, but he is a villain who made her take on 500 million yen in debt. Jun Kaname plays Takuya Usami, the president of Usami Shokuken, who is involved in the investment fraud with Toudou.
It was also announced that Shizuyo Yamazaki, aka "Shizu-chan" from Nankai Candies, Ayaka Imoto, and child actor Eito Kawahara will appear in the first episode. This will be Yamazaki's first regular role in a drama series since "Sakura no Oyakodon" (October 2020), about four years ago.
