It has been announced that a TV anime adaptation of the music project "Utagoe wa Mille-feuille," which has the themes of "a cappella," "high school girls," and "complexes," will be broadcast in July 2025.
On a rooftop at sunset, the main character, Komaki Uka, says, "A cappella is when a lot of voices overlap...it's like a mille-feuille!" The first PV was also released, featuring the six members of the Temarizawa High School A cappella Club who have dedicated their youth to a cappella.
The story is about Komaki Ukika, a high school freshman who loves to sing but is extremely shy. She tries to join the light music club when she starts high school, but is afraid of the bright and glamorous members and is unable to submit her entry form. However, she ends up being invited to join the a cappella club by the club president, Kojo Airi... The story depicts the youth of the a cappella club, which is filled with unique characters, or strange people.
Participants will include Ayase Mirai, who will be playing Komaki Ukika, Yuko Natsuyoshi Yuko, who will be playing Mayumori Yui, Sudo Kanoki, who will be playing Furushiro Airi, Matsuoka Misato, who will be playing Konoe Reon, Hanai Miharu, who will be playing Miyazaki Un, and Aikawa Haruka, who will be playing Kumai Yaeko.
