It has been announced that the TV anime "Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku", based on the manga currently being serialized in "Ultra Jump" (Shueisha), will be broadcast on Nippon Television, BS Nippon Television and other networks from January 7, 2025.
The manga is based on the original work by Takeda Ayano, known for the novel series "Sound! Euphonium". It was also announced that additional cast members will include Yusa Koji as the narcissistic broadcasting club advisor Kichijoji Hiromi and Hikasa Yoko as Saionji Shura, winner of last year's N-Con reading category. The main visual, which depicts Haruyama Kana and others seriously devoting themselves to the activities of the broadcasting club, and the main PV featuring the unique members of the club were also released. The series has been serialized in "Ultra Jump" since June 2021. The story is set on Tonakijima, a small island with a population of 600 people, and follows Haruyama Kana and other members of the broadcasting club as they deepen their love of reading aloud. Fujidera Mitsunori will play Haruyama Kana. The film will be directed by Ayumu Uwano and produced by Studio Bind.
