The fourth episode of the TV anime "Chi. -About the Movement of the Earth-," based on the manga by Uo Yutaka, which was also selected as the winner of the Manga Grand Prize at the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, "This Earth is More Beautiful than Heaven," will be broadcast on NHK General TV every Saturday from 11:45 pm starting October 19th.
Ten years after Rafal's death, Oxy, a substitute fighter, earns a living by doing a job he doesn't care about. His colleague Glass finds meaning in life by observing celestial bodies and discovering certain laws, but Oxy has no hope in this world and just wants to go to heaven quickly. One day, they are tasked with escorting a heretic. Oxy is wary of the heretic's words. Meanwhile, Glass is gradually moved by them.
The series was serialized in "Weekly Big Comic Spirits" (Shogakukan) from 2020 to 2022. Set in 15th century Europe, the story depicts people risking their lives to study the heretical theory of heliocentrism. The anime will be produced by Madhouse, the studio behind "Summer Wars."
