The TV anime "Blue Miburo", based on a manga about the Shinsengumi by Yasuda Takeshi, known for the soccer manga "DAYS", will be broadcast on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV every Saturday at 5:30 pm from October 19th.

The original work has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) since 2021. Set in Kyoto at the end of the Edo period, it depicts the way of life of the Shinsengumi. The story is about a boy named Chirinunio who is honest, kind, and family-oriented, but deep down he has a burning desire for justice, and meets Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Souji of the Mibu-Rai (Miburo), a group of hated ronin. The anime will be directed by Habara Kumiko, who has worked on "I'm Standing on a Million Lives" and other works, and produced by MAHO FILM.

In the first episode, "Mibu Roshi and the Boy," a kindhearted boy named Chirinunio, who works at a dumpling shop in Kyoto at the end of the Edo period, where the arrival of the Black Ships causes upheaval, meets Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Souji of the Mibu Roshi Group, commonly known as Miburo, which later becomes the Shinsengumi. In an era when money, land, and even life are unjustly taken away, the fate of an ordinary 13-year-old boy begins to change dramatically after meeting the members of Miburo, who protect the city of Kyoto with their own sense of justice in their hearts. The life-risking "youthful" Shinsengumi story begins.
