It has been announced that Chiikawa Bakery, a bakery inspired by Nagano's popular manga "Chiikawa", will have its grand opening on October 29th on the third floor of Tokyu Plaza Omotesando "Omokado" (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo). Visuals have been released depicting Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi dressed as bakery staff.
The lineup will include cream buns (540 yen), soft French bread (540 yen), and croquette burgers (590 yen) inspired by Chiikawa characters. A Ro bun (2,200 yen) served in a bowl inspired by the ramen of "Ro" from the work will also be released.
The bread at Chiikawa Bakery will be made under the guidance of Junichi Sawada, representative of HIJ Library, who will represent Japan in the decorative bread category at the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie 2026, a world bakery competition to be held in Europan, France in 2026.
Original goods using the visuals will also be on sale, including coasters (1,100 yen), tumblers (3,520 yen), and mugs (2,090 yen).
