It has been revealed that the second movie and fourth season of the anime "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensura)," which was born from a popular light novel on the novel submission site "Let's Become a Novelist," will be produced. The 24th episode, which will be the final episode of the third season, was broadcast on Nippon Television's anime slot "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (Fura-ani)" on September 27th, and the announcement was made. A production announcement illustration depicting Rimuru with a determined expression and a special trailer were also released.

"Tensura" is a light novel by Fuse, who is popular on "Let's Become a Novelist." It depicts a modern-day salaryman who is reincarnated in another world and becomes active there. The comic book adaptation by Taiki Kawakami is serialized in "Monthly Shonen Sirius" (Kodansha).

The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2018 to March 2019, the first part of the second season aired from January to March 2021, and the second part aired from July to September of the same year. The all-new movie, "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Guren no Kizuna," for which Fuse wrote the original story, was released in November 2022.

The third season began airing on "FuraAni" in April 2024, with the final episode airing on September 27th.
