It has been announced that Kaneda Akio and Yamauchi Keiya will appear in the drama series "Minna no Ou R" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays 9pm), starring actor Endo Kenichi, which will begin on October 22nd. Kaneda will reprise his role as Chief Cabinet Secretary Kariya Takashi, also known as "Kariyan", and Yamauchi will reprise his role as Nitta Osamu, also known as "Nitta-kun", a public security detective.

The previous series, which was adapted from the novel of the same name by Ikeido Jun and aired in July 2015, became a hot topic for its bizarre story of Prime Minister Muto Taizan (Endo) and his foolish son (Suda Masaki) swapping minds and bodies. In this sequel, which will be broadcast for the first time in about nine years, Muto, who has once again been approached by the Prime Minister, swaps bodies with a citizen in every episode.

Kaneda's character, Kariya, will once again fully support Taizan, who is once again faced with a body swap, and will be the backbone of the Muto Cabinet. Kaneda introduced his character as "a rare character these days who serves with loyalty and selfless love. I hope that once again, with Kalyan's power, I can turn Taizan's crisis into a positive."

Looking forward to working with Endo for the first time in a long time, he said, "Ken-chan (Endo) plays a character who gets swapped with many people, so I'm looking forward to teasing him in various ways."

Yamauchi's character, Nitta, had an unusual presence in the previous film with his intimidating appearance, elusive nature, and subtle intonation. He is now a father of many children, and appears in the film with the circumstance that his promotion has been delayed due to him taking a lot of parental leave.

Yamauchi said enthusiastically, "Nitta Osamu's circumstances have changed a lot over time (laughs). There are so many unexpected things, and I hope I can express that impermanence in my acting." He appealed, "When you try to continue a work that was interesting, it can sometimes tend to lose momentum, but 'Minoru R' has picked up even more momentum, and as a reader and viewer, I'm really looking forward to it as I read the script. There's a lot of satire in it, and I think it's a work that will clear up your everyday frustrations and help you wake up feeling refreshed the next day, so I hope you'll enjoy it."
