The order and titles of the ending themes (ED) that change weekly for the first drama series "Drama W Golden Kamuy - Hokkaido Tattoo Prisoner Battle" (WOWOW), a sequel to the movie "Golden Kamuy," based on the popular manga by Satoru Noda and a hit anime, have been revealed.
The original is a manga of the same name that was serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha) from 2014 to 2022. The movie version was released in January this year and recorded a hit, attracting 2.1 million viewers and exceeding 3 billion yen in box office revenue. In the first drama series "Hokkaido Tattoo Prisoner Battle," the hunt for prisoners bearing tattoos with codes showing the location of gold bars begins in earnest, and each person's past and beliefs are revealed. The main cast, including Yamazaki Kento as Sugimoto and Yamada Anna as Asirpa, will also reprise their roles. It will be broadcast on WOWOW every Sunday from 10 pm starting October 6th.
It was announced that the ending theme will be handled by a total of eight artists, including ACIDMAN, who also sang the theme song for the movie version. Nobuo Ohki of ACIDMAN, who handled the ending songs "Kagayakeru Mono" for "Episode 1: The Legendary Bear Hunt" and "sonet" for "Final Episode: Mt. Daisetsu", commented, "We are grateful that our previous song "Kagayakeru Mono" was well received in all quarters, and has become a very important song for us at ACIDMAN. Our new song "sonet" is based on the theme of the butterfly effect, and we have taken a new approach to expressing the world of Golden Kamuy.
