It has been revealed that regular assistant Yasu Megumi will be making an appearance on "Uchimura Produce" (TV Asahi), which is making a one-night comeback for the first time in about 19 years since the show's regular broadcast ended in 2005. She will appear as an assistant in the "Drawer King Championship," a segment that often makes comedians cry. She will be reunited with former members including host Uchimura Teruyoshi and Mimura Masakazu, who is an admitted Yasu fan. Yasu commented, "I was reminded of a lot of the time when I appeared as an assistant back then, and I felt warm and fuzzy throughout the show, thinking that the Uchimura P members haven't changed in a good way!" Regarding the recording, he said, "It was a precious opportunity to see Uchimura do that thing, and since I often work with the Samaazu, it was great to see the two of them with their sharp movements. I was watching them thinking how hard all the older guys are doing (laughs). Uchimura hasn't changed at all. He plays the flute nearby, so it's quite hard on your ears, but I enjoyed it as I was next to him. It was fun!" He reflected.
The one-night-only revival special will be aired on September 28th at 10pm, under the title "Celebrating! Uchimura Teruyoshi's 60th Birthday Festival: Uchimura Produced Revival Special!!," a program to commemorate the 65th anniversary of TV Asahi's launch. A total of 30 people, including 15 "comedians who appeared on Uchimura" from the regular broadcast period (April 2000 to September 2005) and 15 "comedians who watched Uchimura" from the regular broadcast period, will rush to celebrate the 60th birthday of the host, Uchimura Teruyoshi, and will do their best to make people laugh. The assistant will be Shiraishi Mai.
