A special video of season 2 of the Hollywood live-action drama series based on Eiichiro Oda's popular manga "ONE PIECE," which is currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), has been released on YouTube, revealing the back of the popular character Tony Tony Chopper. The video shows the cast of season 2 reading through the script, and shows Chopper sitting in a chair. His adorable form is reminiscent of Chopper's in the original manga, and his ears are twitching.
New cast members for season 2 have also been announced, with actor Joe Manganiello playing Mr. 0, the mysterious president and boss of the secret crime company Baroque Works, and Lela Abova playing Miss All Sunday, the vice president and commander-in-chief who is paired with Mr. 0.
The live-action drama will be produced by Hollywood's Tomorrow Studios, which has produced dramas such as "Cowboy Bebop" and "Snowpiercer," with Oda, the original author, participating as executive producer. In addition to Iñaki Godoy playing Luffy and Mackenyu Arata playing Zoro, the cast also includes Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Schuyler as Sanji.
Season 1 began streaming on Netflix on August 31, 2023. Set in Luffy's hometown of the East Blue, it depicts the battle between Luffy and his friends against rough pirates such as Buggy and Arlong, as well as the origins of the Straw Hat Pirates' adventure. Season 2 will be available exclusively on Netflix soon.
