Tiger with wings：22-year-old Kawadoko Asuka, a former member of "Nicola," becomes the "5th generation" Yumi; studying parasites at graduate school

Ito Sari stars in the NHK morning drama "Wings on a Tiger" (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. and others). Starting from the 24th week "Will Three Women Ruin Your Money?", which begins on September 9th, Kawado Asuka will appear as Sada Yumi.

Kawado is 22 years old and was born on July 10th, 2002 in Fukuoka Prefecture. After winning the grand prize in a model audition for fashion magazine "nicola" (Shinchosha) in 2014, she worked as a "Nicomo" for about four and a half years until March 2019. She also became a hot topic for her beauty when she appeared in a corporate commercial for Sekisui House, with many viewers saying "She's so cute!"

She made her screen debut in the 2019 film "Pier: What Connects the Town" (directed by Ayabe Shinya), and also appeared in the spin-off drama of the morning drama "Natsuzora" that aired in November of the same year. In 2022, she was also cast in the film "Silent Parade" (directed by Nishitani Hiroshi), part of the "Galileo" series starring Fukuyama Masaharu.

　Yumi, who she plays in "Wings of the Tiger," is Torako's (Ito) daughter. She played the role of a good girl so as not to burden her busy mother, but after living in Niigata, the gap between mother and daughter is filled. Torako and Koichi (Okada Masaki) become "something like a married couple" and live together in the Hoshi family home. She calmly grasps and thinks about things, and is also able to express her opinions frankly to Torako. She is researching parasites in graduate school.

　The role of Yumi has been passed down to Saito Uyu, Kanai Akira, Takezawa Sakiko, and Maita Nono, and Kawatoko is the fifth generation to play the role, excluding her "baby" period.

　"Wings of the Tiger" is an original story based on the life of Mibuchi Yoshiko (1914-1984), Japan's first female lawyer and later a judge. This is legal entertainment that depicts the heroine and her companions forging a path through difficult times and rescuing lost children and cornered women.
