Ahead of the broadcast of the TBS Sunday drama "VIVANT" (Sundays at 9 PM), starring actor Masato Sakai, which will begin on July 26, it has been revealed that a project called "Drum Goes to America!" will be launched in which the popular character Drum (Drum Tomie) will promote "VIVANT" in the United States.
"Drum Goes to America!" is a spin-off of "Let's Go Meet Drum!", a PR project for "VIVANT" in which Drum tours across Japan. He has visited 26 locations in 18 prefectures so far, but this will be his first overseas caravan.
Feeling apprehensive about the project in the superpower that is the United States, Takuya Tsuru of "La Parfait," also known as "Fake Nozaki," invited former professional baseball player Kenshi Sugitani, who will serve as the hype man for the "MLB All-Star 2026" to be broadcast live from 9am on July 15th, to the "VIVANT" monument in Akasaka Sacas Square in Tokyo, as a savior. Sugitani proposed PR activities in Philadelphia, where the "MLB All-Star 2026" will be held, as one of the most exciting places in the United States, and pledged to meet again in Philadelphia.
"Fake Nozaki" enthusiastically cheered him on, saying, "The MLB All-Star Game is a dream baseball fest where stars from all over the world gather. And another is VIVANT, where a star-studded cast will perform together in a dream collaboration. Sports and drama, these are the two biggest events of this summer!! Drum! Go and spread the name of VIVANT in America too!"
