The opening day stage greeting for the film " Shin kaishaku Bakumatsu-den " (directed by Fukuda Yuichi), starring actors Tsuyoshi Muro and Sato Jiro, was held in Tokyo on December 19th, with Muro, Sato, Takayuki Yamada, Alice Hirose, and director Fukuda taking to the stage.
The film is set in the late Edo period, from the end of the Edo period to the beginning of the Meiji period, and director Fukuda, who also worked on the 2020 film "New Interpretation of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms," which also starred Muro and Sato, will be adapting the "late Edo period that everyone seems to know, but doesn't really know."
