It has been announced that "Inland Empire" (2006), the final feature film by director David Lynch, who passed away in January this year, will be released in 4K as "Inland Empire 4K" on January Getsuku, 2026. A trailer has also been released.
Director Lynch passed away on January 15th at the age of 78. Since his debut film, Eraserhead, in 1976, the master director had captivated the world as a "cult king." His final feature film, Inland Empire, is being remastered in 4K and overseen by Lynch himself.
Hollywood actress Nikki Grace (Laura Dern) stars in "The Night Before Tomorrow," a remake of the unfinished Polish film "47." She soon finds herself embroiled in an affair with her co-star Devon Burke (Justin Theroux), just like in the film, and the story of the film and her own life begin to intertwine. The line between reality and fiction gradually blurs, driving Nikki's mind to the brink of collapse.
