Professional figure skater Marin Honda appeared at the Japan premiere of "Karada Sagashi THE LAST NIGHT" (directed by Hasumi Eiichiro, scheduled for release on September 5th), the latest installment in the horror film "Karada Sagashi" starring Kanna Hashimoto, held in Tokyo on August 12th. Honda, whose debut as an actor is in the film, commented, "It's strange that I'm making this greeting."
Regarding her co-star Fuku Suzuki, Honda said, "Fuku is my younger sister's (Miyu Honda) childhood friend. When we were child actors, he was taking lessons at the same agency, and I used to go with him to see them, so that was the first time we met." She continued, "I was in the same class as Fuku, and I never thought the time would come when I'd play a character who is on the verge of becoming a couple, so it was all a real surprise."
The film is based on a novel by Welzard posted on the novel submission site Everystar, and is the second adaptation of the 2022 film "Body Search."
Asuka (Hashimoto) and Takahiro (Gordon Maeda) survive the "Body Search," a game in which the same day repeats until the body is found, but immediately afterward, Asuka's existence disappears from this world before Takahiro's eyes. Three years later, high school students Ichinose Rikuto (Kaito Sakurai) and his friends wake up in the middle of the night at an amusement park. A girl covered in blood, known as the "Red Person," appears and brutally murders the five, one by one. However, when they wake up again, it is the morning of the same day. Rikuto and the others realize that they have been chosen to participate in the "Body Search," and Takahiro appears before them, looking nothing like his former self. He has been searching for Asuka for the past three years. In order to save Asuka, who has disappeared due to a chain reaction of curses, the six must confront the terror of the "Red Person."
Honda will play Kinoshita Arisa, who attempts the "body search," and Suzuki will play Tanabe Yamato.
Hashimoto, Maeda, Sakurai, Seira Anzai, Suzuki, Takeaki Yoshida, and Director Hasumi also attended the event.
