[Video] Kei Tanaka: Sweating nonstop while filming the drama "Hey, Dazai" Koki Mitani comments, "There was a sense of despair."

Actor Kei Tanaka appeared at the completion report meeting for the drama "Drama W Koki Mitani' Oi, Dazai'" in which he plays the lead role on June 18th. This is the first new work in 12 years in the "one-scene, one-shot drama" series, which is based on an original script by Mitani and which he himself is directing. Tanaka expressed his joy, saying, "I've always loved Mitani's one-shot series, so I'm very happy to be involved."

The drama was shot in one take for 90 minutes, but the lead actor, Tanaka, was constantly walking around the set, and recalled, "I couldn't stop sweating." Mitani commented, "At the end, he had a feeling of despair. He had a face I'd never seen before."

In addition to Tanaka, the presentation was attended by screenwriters and directors Koki Mitani, Eiko Koike, and Emma Miyazawa.

The drama is the first new work in 12 years in the "One-scene, One-shot Drama" series, which Mitani himself directed and based on his original script. Komuro Kensaku (Tanaka) is an ordinary office worker who admires Dazai Osamu. On the way home from a wedding reception he attended with his wife Miyoko (Miyazawa), he accidentally stumbles onto the beach where Dazai attempted suicide. Excited to be in a place associated with Dazai, Kensaku ventures into a dark cave despite being stopped. Appearing at the end are Dazai Osamu (Matsuyama Kenichi) and his girlfriend Tomiko (Koike). Has Kensaku traveled back in time to the era Dazai lived in?

It will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW Prime and WOWOW On Demand from 10:00 p.m. on June 29th.
