The drama series "Good Things and Bad Things" (NTV, Saturdays at 9pm) stars actors Mamiya Shotaro and Araki Yuko in the lead roles. The synopsis and stills for the third episode, which will air on October 25th, have been released.
A serial murder case begins when a time capsule is dug up for the first time in 22 years at a class reunion. Takagi (Mamiya), who is pursuing the truth, has a premonition that comes true, and Emi (Matsui Rena), also known as Nico-chan, becomes the third victim. The police treat the case as a traffic accident, but Takagi and Sonoko (Araki) are not convinced.
Realizing that the culprit is committing the crimes according to the lyrics of a parody song that Takagi and the other three wrote 22 years ago, Takagi thinks, "The next target will probably be Tarbo." Takagi's best friend, Tarbo Koyama (Shintaro Morimoto), runs an app development company in the US and coincidentally returned to Japan for a PR press conference for a new business venture. However, Sonoko is suspicious, asking, "Did he just happen to return to Japan...?" Is it really a coincidence that he returned to Japan at this time? Could the culprit be Koyama? Takagi denies it, but is told, "Don't you just want to believe that?" and is at a loss for words.
According to Sonoko's investigation, there are endless dark rumors surrounding Koyama, who is known as a revolutionary in the app industry. A man who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals... Sonoko's suspicions about Koyama grow stronger. Takagi, while believing that Koyama couldn't be the culprit, follows Sonoko's orders and investigates Koyama. However, Koyama, who has realized that the targets of the crime were six people Sonoko holds a grudge against, says that Sonoko must be seeking revenge. Takagi says, "She's struggled so hard and changed herself, there's no way she would seek revenge," but Koyama says, "You believe in him and then suspect the others?... Do as you please," and turns his back on Takagi and leaves.
Suspicions remain unresolved... And what about the "blank 22 years" between Takagi and Koyama, who were best friends?
