The short omnibus film "MIRRORLIAR FILMS Season 8" has released trailers for "Kara no Utsuwa," directed by actress Matsuda Miyuki and starring Harada Mieko and Sato Himi, and "The Breath of the Blue Whale" (directed by Sado Eri), starring Hamao Noritaka, with MEGUMI participating as a producer.

"Kara no Utsuwa" is a story about two people who seem to be complete opposites in age and circumstances: Fumiko (Harada), a 65-year-old woman with an air of elegance, and Doi (Sato), a 24-year-old male employee, who meet at a pachinko parlor and are drawn to each other.

"The Breath of the Blue Whale" is set in an era where we can have conversations in our heads without speaking. Mari (NANAMI KEYES), an emotionless woman who disposes of data in a mechanical and monotonous manner, meets a man named Shin (Hamao) through a matching AI service. Mari uses example sentences provided by the AI to converse with him, but when Shin asks her, "Can you tell me how you feel?", Mari's heart is moved... This is the story.

"MIRRORLIAR FILMS Season 8" will be screened for a limited two-week period starting January 16, 2026.
