It has been announced that Ami Maejima, who is active as an actress and voice actress, will be performing the ending theme (ED) "I'm Not Perfect" for the TV anime "Taking Care of a Talented Girl: I Ended Up Taking Care of the School's Number One Young Lady (who has No Life Skills) from Behind the Scenes," which is based on a light novel from HJ Bunko (Hobby Japan). It was also announced that Maejima will appear in the anime as the character Karen Asahi.
Maejima commented, "This time, I was in charge of writing the lyrics for a tie-in project for the first time personally. As I read the original work, I was inspired by the many memorable lines spoken by the charming characters, and I poured my love for the work into writing the lyrics and singing it! I hope that I was able to convey the delicate feelings of all the talented women who are 'out of reach' through the song. Please pay attention to the ending theme as well!"
Regarding the character Asahi Karen that she plays in the anime, she said, "Karen's charm lies in her bright and cheerful personality that instantly illuminates those around her, so I tried to portray her as someone who can converse with even those who are out of her league, such as Konohana, Tennoji, and Miyakojima, without putting up any barriers. She also actively encourages Tomonari to join the group, and I felt that she is a very kind-hearted girl while I was playing her. During the recording, I was very happy when the other voice actors told me, 'It's reassuring to have Asahi and Taisho around.'"
"Taking Care of a Talented Girl" is a sweet romantic comedy about Hinako Konohana, a lazy girl who is admired by those around her as a "perfect young lady" but is actually completely incapable of taking care of herself, and Itsuki Tomonari, an ordinary high school boy who is assigned to take care of her. The anime is directed by Shusei Morishita and produced by Brain's Base. Yuto Uemura will voice Itsuki Tomonari and Konomi Kohara will voice Konomi Kohara Konohana. It will begin airing on MBS, TV Tokyo, and BS Asahi from July 4th.
