◇The following contains spoilers.
What is the "secret" hidden in Luna's father Eisuke's (Ryo Ishibashi) computer? At her mother's (Mako Ishino) request, Luna and Ryoko scramble to decipher the computer's passcode. Their only clues are the cover of a first edition of Natsume Soseki's "I Am a Cat" displayed on the desktop and an uncertain sequence of numbers that is "more than four digits." The two haven't yet found a definitive clue to deciphering it.
Meanwhile, Fujiko (Aya Enjoji), a regular customer at Luna's shop and such a big fan of Soseki that she even built a house on "Natsumezaka" in Shinjuku, suddenly passes away. When the two women go to pay their respects, they learn from her second daughter, Nanako (Kii Kitano), that a bitter inheritance dispute has erupted between the siblings.
At that moment, Keisuke (played by Itao Itsuji), the second husband Fujiko's mother had married before her death, intervenes. The family panics when he hints at the existence of a will stating that he, her husband, will inherit all of her assets. However, the will has disappeared somewhere. Luna finds the hiding place of the will using the clue that Fujiko was a Soseki enthusiast. The will states that the assets should be distributed among the children alone. Seeing the children change their minds and decide not to sell the house, Keisuke announces that he is leaving. However, it turns out that everything was going according to Keisuke's plan, and that his actions were all done to protect the house that Fujiko cherished.
Later, Luna and Ryoko return to the bar and try to enter the passcode, but it fails. Just then, they receive news that their father, Eisuke, has taken a turn for the worse and has been rushed to the hospital. Luna doesn't want to go to the hospital, but seeing this, Ryoko scolds her, "That's enough! Mom, you can't run away!"
Then Ryoko said that she was able to move forward thanks to Luna taking her on a trip to Osaka, and she asked Luna, "It seems like my time has been stopped for so long, and it seems like your time has been stopped too... Hey, what do you want to do, Mom?" and then sent Luna off to the hospital.
On social media, many people expressed their admiration for Ryoko's "stern reprimand" of Luna. Comments included: "I'm about to cry, it's too much. Thank you Ryoko for telling Luna off," "That's what you'd expect from best friends!", "This scene only happens because they've been promoted to friends," "They're the best duo... Luna and Ryoko," and "Ryoko is the best best friend."
