The latest promotional video for the third season of the TV anime " Mushoku Tensei ," Shosetsuka ni Naro on the novel submission site "Shosetsuka ni Narou," has been released on YouTube. The video depicts Rudeus, who has come to terms with the despair of losing his father and is moving forward, spending peaceful time with his beloved family, including his two wives, Sylphiette and Roxy, and his mother, Zenith. The video features Rudeus's memorable lines expressing his determination to protect his family. The video also shows a powerful magic scene in which Rudeus and Roxy unleash lightning.
It was also announced that singer Mika Nakashima will be performing the ending theme, "Inori, Owareba" (When Prayer Ends). The lyrics and music were written by Shinoda of the band Hitorie, who also performed the opening theme "On the Frontline" for the second cour of the second season.
Nakashima commented, "I am deeply honored to be given the opportunity to sing the ending theme for the third season of the TV anime ' Mushoku Tensei.' This song, 'Inori, Owariba' (When the Prayer Ends), was provided by Shinoda of Hitorie. I feel that I have been given a song with a new character, unlike any of my previous songs. During the production, I was able to strongly feel Shinoda's passionate feelings of 'For Mika Nakashima...', which made me very happy, and I am grateful for this wonderful encounter. "Mushoku Tensei" is a light novel by Rifujin na Magote, which began serialization on "Shosetsuka ni Naro" in 2012. The story follows a 34-year-old unemployed man who dies but is reborn in a fantasy world of swords and magic, where he uses his intelligence and regrets from his previous life to start a new life. It is a popular work considered a pioneer of "Narou-kei" light novels, and has been published in book form by MF Books (KADOKAWA), with a manga adaptation also being produced. The series has sold over 18 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March 2021 (first cour) and from October to December of the same year (second cour), and the high-quality animation produced by Studio Bind, an animation production company established specifically for the series, also garnered attention. The first cour of the second season aired from July to September 2023, and the second cour aired from April to June 2024. The third season will begin airing on July 5th, every Sunday on TOKYO MX, BS11, and other channels.
