YOSHIKI of the rock band "X JAPAN" will hold two consecutive nights of classical concerts at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, USA, on July 16th and 17th (local time). It has been revealed that the second night's concert will be broadcast live exclusively on WOWOW.
YOSHIKI underwent his third neck surgery in 2024, and after rehabilitation, he held a three-night classical concert series in Tokyo in April 2026, titled "The Eve of Awakening." The Los Angeles performance is positioned as the "second chapter" of his classical world tour, which began in Japan.
Up until now, YOSHIKI has created concerts as a comprehensive art form by fusing music with visual expression, ballet, and various other arts. For this performance, he commented on his official website that he wants to challenge himself with expressions that go beyond conventional boundaries, in addition to classical piano performance. He expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I want to deliver an emotional, powerful, and explosive stage."
The venue, Walt Disney Concert Hall, is famous as one of the world's most prestigious music halls, alongside Carnegie Hall in New York and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Known as the home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, it boasts the unique architectural beauty designed by world-renowned architect Frank Gehry and one of the world's best acoustics.
WOWOW will broadcast and stream the second day of the Los Angeles performance, titled "Live Broadcast! YOSHIKI CLASSICAL 2026 in LOS ANGELES at WALT DISNEY CONCERT HALL “VIOLET NIGHT”," live on WOWOW Live and WOWOW On Demand from noon JST on July 18th. Additionally, a Japanese subtitled version of the performance will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW Live and WOWOW On Demand from 6 PM JST on July 26th.
