The five-member vocal and dance group "M!LK" will make their first appearance on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), airing on June 5th at 1 PM.
Now in their 12th year together, the members introduce themselves and talk about the hardships they faced, such as commuting to Tokyo every weekend from their hometowns in Kagoshima, Aichi, Mie, Wakayama, and Tochigi while attending school, taking overnight buses and long train journeys. At the request of Kuroyanagi, who loves dialects, they also showcase their respective local dialects.
The group faced various difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the cancellation of concerts, but they believe that their current popularity stems from the fact that they held weekly meetings to discuss what they could do. The show also features a surprising story about a dream the five of them want to fulfill together, which even surprised Ms. Kuroyanagi.
