Ryota Miyadate of the popular group Snow Man appeared on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi) on May 29th. He talked about his behavior as the older brother of two younger sisters and details of his "royal private life."
When he gets home from work, he reveals that his family, who have a key, "just show up." They cook dinner and eat with him. He thinks they'll take a bath and then go home, but instead they "come to stay the night," he says with a wry smile.
He is one of three siblings, with two younger sisters, aged 28 and 24. He used to go shopping with them, though he doesn't do it as often these days. "They make me buy a lot of things. Things like bags and shoes, things I couldn't afford to buy for myself," he reveals, describing his behavior as an older brother.
She keeps roses in her home. "Sometimes I go out and buy them myself, and sometimes I receive them as gifts because of my work," she says, adding that she arranges them in vases and displays them in various places around her room. When asked about her favorite rose color, she firmly stated, "It's red because that's the member color of Snow Man."
She started cooking by helping her mother, and after she started living alone, she began cooking for herself. Currently, she is the MC of a TV program about food. Her specialty dish is pasta, and she says she can "make anything." Her favorites are cream-based sauces such as white cream sauce and sea urchin cream sauce.
He developed a love for fashion because of his grandmother's influence. As a child, she often took him to Ginza in Tokyo. He says that when he wore a Burberry check pattern outfit, he "felt cool." He says that he "loves clothes so much that he ends up buying them," and that when he collects designer collections or adds new season's clothes to his wardrobe, his house becomes a mess. When Kuroyanagi shared her method of organizing her clothes, which is to "sell them at a charity bazaar," he replied, "I do that too."
When asked about his future dreams, he said, "I would like to do more and more acting." As a member of "Snow Man," he said, "I would like to promote myself and Snow Man to people who don't know the group or me, and I would like to perform live at various venues."
