The TV anime "The Frontier Lord Who Started with 0 Subjects," based on the popular light novel by Fuuro, will begin airing on TOKYO MX and other channels from July 10th. Additional cast members have also been announced, including Rikuya Yasuda as Francis, a Meer who understands human language; Maria Abo as Francois, also a Meer; Kujira as Mole, the chief of the ogre tribe; Yoko Hikasa as Diane, the third princess of the royal capital; and Nao Toyama as Eima, a mouse-like demi-human. The band "CROWN HEAD" will perform the opening theme "Wonder," and artist, voice actress, and singer Hanae will perform the ending theme "Promise on a Starry Night."
"The Frontier Lord Who Started with Zero Subjects" is a slow-life fantasy about developing a territory, in which Dias, a hero who saved his country through his exploits in war, is rewarded by the king with a vast grassland devoid of people and houses. The series has sold over 2.5 million copies in total.
