The eighth episode of the TBS Sunday drama "GIFT," starring actor Shinichi Tsutsumi, will air on May 31st (Sundays at 9 PM).
In the previous episode... Gotetsu (Tsutsumi) was asked by his ex-wife, Hiroe (Tomoko Yamaguchi), to live with her. While spending time with their son, So (Yuta Tamamori), at Hiroe's house, he was asked whether he should pursue music again or give it up.
"I know I don't have any talent, so I don't know what to do," said Kou, troubled. Wu Tie encouraged him, saying, "Even so, you have to find the answer yourself. The universe is like that; you think and think and think, and just when you finally arrive at an answer, one day everything is suddenly turned upside down. But even then, you have to keep searching for the answer."
In episode 8... Munakata (Yu Miyazaki), a postdoctoral researcher whose research on black holes was previously dismissed and cast into darkness by Gotetsu, has sued Gotetsu's actions to a magazine publisher. Hitoka (Kasumi Arimura) asks Munakata to take down the article, but he says it's on the condition that Gotetsu quits the Bulls.
Around the same time, Ryo (Yuki Yamada) was unable to concentrate on practice. This was because a doctor had told him he might have a certain illness. Furthermore, Catherine (Wan Marui) was torn between her dream of having a baby and continuing to play wheelchair rugby. Keijiro (Kyoya Honda) was frustrated with his own performance, which was not up to par with Taniguchi's (Kanata Hosoda). Each of them faced their own obstacles...
