The variety show "Kaiun! Nandemo Kanteidan" (TV Tokyo, Tuesdays at 8:54 PM), hosted by talent Koji Imada, freelance announcer Akira Fukuzawa, and former Sakurazaka46 member Yuka Sugai, will feature "A letter from Ryoma Sakamoto, the turbulent figure of the late Edo period" as its "treasure" on May 26th.
The client said that 30 years ago, when he went to the bank, he saw a car piled high with paintings parked in the parking lot. He wondered what it was, and then someone approached him and asked, "Are you interested in paintings?"
From there, I became completely hooked, spending well over 10 million yen in total. My only treasure, besides the paintings I bought from that person, is a letter from Sakamoto Ryoma to his sister, Otome. It cost 400,000 yen. I thought it was "really cheap" if it was authentic, but I believed it was and bought it. Is it really authentic?
The preview includes a scene where Imada expresses surprise at the contents of the letter, saying, "It says Katsu Rintaro (Kaishu)," and is introduced with the tagline, "A surprising appraisal result!"
