On May 24th, entertainer Akiko Wada appeared as a guest on Fuji TV's horse racing program "Minna no KEIBA" (Sundays at 3 PM) to watch the remarkable achievement of her junior colleague from her agency.
Wada, making her first appearance on horse racing broadcasts in 30 years, made her predictions for the G1 Oaks, the race to determine the queen of her generation. While she picked number 12, Dream Core, as her favorite, drawing inspiration from her song "Yume" (Dream), she also revealed that she had placed a place bet on Juuryoku Pierrot, ridden by her junior colleague at her agency, Horipro, Seina Imamura, who is the first female jockey to compete in a G1 race.
The results were Juuryoku Pierrot in first place, Dream Core in second, and Laughter Lines in third. In addition to Juuryoku Pierrot's place bet, Wada also correctly predicted the exacta bets on Dream Core and Laughter Lines. He bet a total of 70,000 yen and won 111,000 yen.
Before the race, Ms. Wada was nervous, saying, "It's better to watch it at home. I'm so excited." However, she was overjoyed by jockey Imamura's excellent result, exclaiming, "Horipro is amazing! I'm relieved. His comments were great too, it was the best!"
